8 month surgical update

* I have been updating less on this.... as I get closer to goal I am wanting to be ME more than defined by my weight loss. I don't regret the surgery... I love having had it. It was the best thing I ever did for myself. But there is more to me than my weight loss. And sometimes people forget that. Especially now that I look like this




When I went for surgery Dr. Fontana and I set a goal of 170 for me. 140-165 being normal weight for my height. I am 8 mos out now, and at 174. I have been slack on exercise except mall walking 1-2 times a week, and will work on that again. I am a size 14-16, instead of the old 26-28. Mostly 14 even. I went from a 42H/I to a 36DD. My shoe size dropped from a 11wide to a 9-10 regular.

Huh.

Such an amazing difference. I won't gush, because obviously you have changed more than just your weight and I look forward to discovering the new you along with you.

Btw, have you considered puzzle_of_me as a new name? Had an other epiphanies yet?

My epiphanies this week have been limited to the facts my husband is REALLY blond all the way to his toes... and is driving me crazy... LOL

I think I am gonna hold on the name til I settle down in more

Apparently I was storing fat in my feet too ;-)

I dropped 3 ring sizes as well

My shoe size dropped already too, from a size 6 to a 5 1/2. I suspect it may go down to an even 5. Which means, I have to buy my shoes in kids sections now... lol

and yeah - people forget you are more than the surgery. it happens alot to me and upset me Sunday when people asked how I was 3 years out. i can say i've gained 15lbs back and forth the past 3 years - not bad considering i've been on steriods again.

Wow, what an amazing transformation!

I agree though, once you lose weight people notice you when you're the same person you always were :o/

HOT Mamma! you are such an inspiration! I am so happy for you! Its all still new to me, so im still in the honeymoon stage of this surgery, hehe...i know it will wear off soon....

While the difference in the way look physically is drastic, I don't see how anyone could focus on just that and lose sight of what a thoughtful, funny, and really amazing person you are.
